These 5 week classes are designed to accommodate both the novice and the student who has some wheel throwing experience. Beginning students will learn the basics while the more skilled students will strengthen their techniques of wheel throwing and experiment with fluting, faceting and altering through guided exercises by the instructors. If you have ever been intrigued with the diea of making pots on the wheel, these classes are for you! No prior art experience required.
Moderate to Advanced Wheel Throwing
Wheel Throwing & Carving Wednesday, 6-9 pm 5 weeks, July 23 - August 20 Instructor: Anne Mulvihill Cost: $125 + $30 Lab Fee
This five week class will focus on a variety of decorating techniques. We will explore sgraffito (hand carving) with colored slips and free hand designing on a wide range of clay forms, as well as stamp making. bring your imagination, a sketch pad and brushes (if you have them) - and we'll experience the surface of your pots in a new way.
Out of Bounds Bowls Thursday 6-9 pm 5 weeks, July 24 - August 21 Instructor: Tara Dawley Cost: $125 + $30 Lab Fee
So, you can make a good bowl, eh? If you are interested in taking your bowl form another step further, this class if for you. We will throw, tug, poke, and prod these bowls into even more interesting forms. Instructor, Tara Dawley, will toss in a decorative tip or two and you will be producing bowls like you never have before. Bonus: Everyone will go home with a Tara bowl. This class is for intermediate and advanced students.
Advanced Wheel Throwing Wednesday, 10am-1pm Sign up any time during the year! Instructor: Tara Dawley 5 weeks: $125 plus $30 lab fee 10 weeks: $250 plus $30 lab fee
If you have intermediate through advanced throwing skills, this is the class for you. Improve your throwing abilities while investigating various methods of altering. Our knowledge and appreciation of historical forms will be incorporated into the activities.

Handbuilt Vessels Monday, 6-9 pm 5 weeks, July 28 - August 25 Instructor: Bowie Croisant Cost: $125 + $30 lab fee Students will learn basic hand building techniques. Our focus will be on the vessel and we will discuss the functionality and intended use of our work. Throughout the course there will be a variety of demonstrations that will teach students the skills they will need to build whatever their imagination can think of. All skill levels welcome!
