Christa Assad: Breathe

Since 2015, ceramics artist Christa Assad has expanded her studio practice it include large scale sculptures made of recycled and upcycled materials. Assad’s menacing gas mask (Breathe) and oversized construction cone (Proceed with Caution), exhibited in the gallery’s parking lot, reflect the artist’s concern with war, decaying cities, and broken political systems.
