Sam Chung has been Associate Professor of Ceramics at Arizona State University in since 2007. In 1988, Chung received a BA from St. Olaf College (MN), and in 1997, an MFA from Arizona State University. He taught at Northern Michigan University from 1998 to 2007. In addition to teaching, he has been an artist in residence at The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, the Anderson Ranch Arts Center (CO), Watershed (ME),  and Guldagergaard, Denmark. He has exhibited at Harvey/Meadows (CO), Cervini Haas (AZ), AKAR (IA),  Dubuque Museum of Fine Art (IA),  Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art (MO),  Santa Fe Clay (NM), Lacoste Gallery (MA), Taipei County Yingge Museum, Taiwan, and the Incheon World Ceramic Center, South Korea.
