White Marines Symbol Cup - Ehren Tool

These cups were wheel thrown using white stoneware. They were painted with a clear glaze over oxide washes of blue, green, black, and red. The mugs were decorated with stamps and photo decals depicting war-related imagery. 50% of all proceeds will go to an organization that supports veterans suffering from the effects of Agent Orange.

Tool received his BFA from the University of Southern California in 2000, and his MFA in 2005 from the University of California at Berkeley. Tool is a United States Artists Berman Bloch Fellow and a third-generation solider who severed in the Marine Corps during the Gulf War. With contributions from the Lighton International Exchange program and the Kansas City Arts Coalition, Tool was able to make over 200 cups in Vietnam using local clay. Tool’s portion of the proceeds will go to an organization that supports Vets who suffer from the affects of Agent Orange.
